Egg and Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

Egg and Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

This egg and turkey bacon breakfast sandwich is a quick, easy breakfast, made a little healthier by using turkey bacon. My husband was thrilled with his breakfast sandwich recipe and thought it tasted great, along with crispy hash browns and a fruit salad.

Egg and Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces of turkey bacon (or regular bacon)
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese (I use sharp)
  • 1 English muffin, toasted
  • 1 tsp mayonnaise (optional)
  • Hot sauce (optional)

How to Make an Egg and Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich:

Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy and browned. Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel.

Heat the butter in a small skillet over medium heat.

Crack the egg and break the yolk (if desired), then season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then flip the egg and add cheese to the top.

Add water to the skillet (around the egg) and cover with a lid for 1 minute, or until cheese melts. Side Note: You can also leave the yolk whole if you’d prefer a yolky sandwich. Yum!

Toast an English muffin. Spread mayonnaise (if using) on one half of the English muffin.

Top with bacon, and the egg with cheese.

Top with hot sauce (optional) and the remaining English muffin half.

Serve and enjoy.

  1. I have been making em for years, I sometimes use fake eggs and non-fat cheese to make them even better for ya! I send John off to work almost every morning with one. They are good with bagels too and butter. I call them Cheryl McMuffins, LOL

  2. I’m not surprised your hubby left the house a happy man! This happens to be my favorite breakfast and I would eat them everyday if I could get away with it!
