Balsamic Vinaigrette

Balsamic Vinaigrette

I was craving a Greek salad, so I decided to make this easy balsamic vinaigrette recipe instead of our usual Fran’s vinaigrette. It was quick and easy to make, and tasted slightly sweet, tangy, and delicious on my veggie-loaded salad.

Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • cup balsamic vinegar, more if desired  ***Side Note: We enjoy a very tangy vinaigrette if you don’t use ¼ cup
  • 1 tbsp shallot, diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp of dried basil
  • ¼ tsp of dried oregano
  • Pinch of sugar, optional, to taste
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

How to Make a Balsamic Vinaigrette:

Combine balsamic vinegar, shallot, garlic, Dijon, basil, oregano, sugar, sea salt, and freshly cracked black pepper to taste, and blend.

Slowly add the olive oil while mixing.

Taste and re-season if needed.

Store in a sealed glass jar or airtight container, and use throughout the week on salads and veggies. Enjoy.
