¼yellow onion, diced**Red or sweet onion will work too
1handful of cilantro leaves, chopped
1jalapeno or serrano, finely diced
3cherry tomatoes, diced (optional)
1largeclove of garlic, minced
1-2limes, juiced, to taste

Instructions
Slice the avocados lengthwise around the seed. Gently hit the blade of the knife on the half of the avocado with the seed and twist–the seed should come out easily.
Either scoop out the avocado flesh with a spoon or dice it into segments in a crosshatch pattern, then spoon it into a bowl.
Add the remaining ingredients together without smashing the avocado too much. Side Note: Make sure to add the lime, as it not only makes the flavor of the guacamole pop, but also keeps the avocado from going brown.
